Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, mobile number, invitation and contribution status, video submissions, titles, descriptions, file details, rights acknowledgements, and communications with us. We may also receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as browser, device, network, and request information.

How we use information

We use this information to create and deliver contributor invitations, authenticate secure links, receive and process video uploads, review and publish approved contributions, provide support, prevent misuse, maintain records of permissions and releases, and comply with legal obligations.

Mobile information and SMS consent

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to provide the Moment 8 messages a recipient has agreed to receive, operate the invitation service, provide support, and meet legal or compliance obligations.

Message frequency varies. A recipient may receive an invitation containing a secure contribution link and limited follow-up messages about that contribution. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the program, including providers for text delivery, database services, website hosting, video upload, processing, and playback. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for Moment 8 or as required by law. They are not authorized by us to use mobile opt-in information for independent marketing.

Video contributions and publishing

Video contributions remain subject to the contributor permission presented during upload. A submission is not made public through the Memory Drop program until it is reviewed and approved by Moment 8. Published contributions may be displayed and distributed as described in the applicable contributor authorization.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the program, maintain contribution and consent records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may decline an invitation, choose not to upload a video, or opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information, contact us at mike@moment8.com. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or recordkeeping purposes.

Children and policy updates

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We may update this policy as the program changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
